I don't buy from e-tailers often. I tried a few and nothing stuck but I might have found an obsession. I first ordered from her shop because of so many raves on the Lush NA forum. I got 2 hair leave in products which were alright but I went too far out there in my scent choices (my fault). She sent me a few sample and one just had me huffing it over and over again. It was a sugar scrub in a scent called Enlighten! It smelled like creamsicles with some thing extra (patchouli) that made it deep and interesting. I contimplated for a long time on my next order that included the scrub. Here are some photos of the order!

Her name is Eva and she is great! Seriosuly, amazing. Her website included the "Tiki Bar" which are body and hair products that she customs scents to your liking. Her scent menu is fantastic and. My favorites so far are Enlighten, Creamy Coconut and Grapefruit Lavender(which I just recieved a sample of).

Project Runway Canada Season 2 WINNER

SUNNY FONG won Project Runway Canada this season. I am so happy because he is incredibly talented. His inspiration for his show was Alexandre The Great and he pulled it off perfectly. The judges (including model icon Iman) were all unanimous in their decision. Rita Silvan from Elle Canada was always singing Sunny's praise the whole season as well and he won most of the chanllenges. His work was amazing!

So I finally decided on a wallet to get from Etsy and my mom ordered it for my birthday (March 30). It took me awhile to decide so it came way after my birthday but I excepted that...

I chose a custom wallet from THlENTHANH.etsy.com

She was so sweet, so helpful and kept in touch with me through convos on Etsy the whole time. Not only did she have great customer service but when the wallet came in the mail I was so excited because it was perfect! She also has great fabric to choose from if you are looking for a custom wallet. When the wallet was done she even sent me photos of it so I can approve before she sent it.

Dear Dogs and Cats

I found this posted on one of the forums I frequent, it's adorable

Dear Dogs and Cats:

The dishes with the paw prints are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.

The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Racing me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall faster than you can run.

I cannot buy anything bigger than a king sized bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your comfort, however. Dogs and cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep.. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other, stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out on the other end to maximize space is nothing but sarcasm.

For the last time, there is no secret exit from the bathroom! If, by some miracle, I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge in an attempt to open the door. I must exit through the same door I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years - canine/feline attendance is not required.

The proper order for kissing is: Kiss ME first, then go smell the other dog or cat's butt. I cannot stress this enough.

Finally, in fairness, dear pets, I have posted the following message on the front door:

TO ALL NON-PET OWNERS WHO VISIT AND LIKE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT OUR PETS:

(1) They live here. You don't.
(2) If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. That's why they call it 'fur'-niture..
(3) I like my pets a lot better than I like most people..
(4) To you, they are animals. To me, they are adopted sons/daughters who are short, hairy, walk on all fours and don't speak clearly.

Pancakes

Okay so I love pancakes. I am not a crepe girl, which is why I hate eating breakfast out in Montreal. Stupid boring crepes filled with bananas.
Home made pancakes from scratch with real maple syrup! Heaven.

Here is the pancake mix recipe I use from Nigella Lawson:

Pancake mix:

• 4 cups all-purpose flour
• 3 tablespoons baking powder
• 2 teaspoons baking soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons sugar

Pancake batter:

• 1 egg
• 1 cup milk
• 1 tablespoon melted butter
• 1 cup of dry mix
  

You mix up the dry ingredients and store away, then when you are ready you mix up the pancake batter! Easy peasy!

Cherry

These are sponge cupcakes with cherry sauce and vanilla buttercream. The cherries aren't in season of course, so the sauce isn't as cherry like and I'd wanted it to be.

Mr. Cupcake

I think chocolate is the best thing in the world. It is evil to me sometimes, but a relationship without a bit of hurt isn't any fun. I made these cupcakes because I wanted a cake that could satisfy my chocolate desire but I should have listened to my mother and made brownies. My mother doesn't eat brownies, so I listened to my boyfriend and made cupcakes. They were good, but not chocolate-y enough.

I have a question: Do you like your chocolate cake to be dense and rich in chocolate flavor and texture? Or are you a sissy? Whenever I make a chocolate cake some people complain that it is too rich. Maybe it's just me, but a chocolate cake needs a glass of milk. There should not be any question about the fact that a chocolate cake needs a glass of milk, it's a given!

I don't know how that questioned turned condescending... Sorry.

No one complained about these sissy cupcakes though. This is why they are Mr. Cupcakes, next time I will make a MADAM cake and she will have all the goods.

MAC Hello Kitty Collection

Hello Kitty! MAC! ...This is pretty cute There is an engraved HK head on the actual lipsticks which is adorable! I love the whole black and pink Hello Kitty theme and the colors are pretty cool but not really for me. I would like to get one thing though, maybe a lipgloss.

Snow

I actually have something sweet to show you! They are probably the most addictive cookies I've ever made and they are also one of the simplest. You can get the recipe here.

I like to call them Coconut Snowballs.

My mom also had me buy a whole brick of Snowcake one of Lush's seasonal soaps for sensative/dry skin. It smells like sweet almond. This is the same mother who has told me she wants to finish all the "crap" she has before buying herself anything Lush. Here's a photo:

Christmas Past

Merry Christmas past! I was busy working most of time but Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were very relaxing and enjoyable. My boyfriend got me the ring I always wanted! I also got a Hello Kitty spa wrap from my sister, cupcake, cake pans and a carrier from my mom! I was so lucky. I went shopping the other day and I went a bit crazy... one of the things I got was this ring at Razberry this awesome store on Saint-Catherine. Everything was 20% off. Ben got him and I a pair of Addidas shoes they were all 50% off which is pretty awesome. What's sad is that I have some more shopping to do!
